In 2008, protective adhesive films featuring the Brandenburg Gate pattern were applied to U-Bahn windows, containing a distorted perspective of the pillars that could be noticed by those staring at the windows during their rides. In 2015, when the stock of the old stickers ran out, a new version was produced with a corrected Brandenburg Gate illustration. The old version can still be seen on some vehicles.
