BAD TAXIDERMY

An ocelot, exhibited at the Museum of Natural History in Berlin, was taxidermied in 1818 by someone who had never seen a live ocelot, relying solely on the skin and a few sketches, and lacking basic anatomical knowledge. Right next to it is another ocelot crafted in 1934 by a taxidermist who had studied live animals and used more advanced techniques than those available in the 18th century.
